Ordivo terms of service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms are between Ordivo (“we”) and the restaurant business that opens an account (“you”). How we handle personal data is described in our privacy notice.
1. The service
Ordivo lets you take orders online (pickup, delivery and dine-in), receive them on a tablet or phone, print tickets, run promotions, send e-mails and, if your plan includes it, take payments online. Features depend on your plan.
2. Your account
You must give correct details and keep your password and your staff's passwords secret. You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.
3. Plans, fees and payment
- Your plan, what it includes and its price are shown when you sign up or change plan. Subscriptions are charged monthly in advance.
- You can cancel at any time; the plan then ends at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months unless the law says we must.
- We will tell you at least 30 days before we change your price or what your plan includes.
- At the date of these terms we take no commission on your sales. Payment companies (such as Stripe) charge you their own processing fees. We would tell you in advance, and you could cancel, before this ever changed.
- Phone call alerts, e-mail and push messages are subject to fair-use limits, shown in the service.
4. What you are responsible for
- Your menu, prices and descriptions being accurate, including allergen information as the food law requires, and your food being safe.
- Preparing, delivering and refunding the orders you accept, and dealing with your guests' questions and complaints.
- Obeying the law that applies to you, including consumer, food hygiene, tax and employment law.
- Sending offer e-mails only to guests who agreed to receive them, through the tools we give you, and never to bought or scraped lists. Every offer e-mail must keep its unsubscribe link.
- Not using the service for anything unlawful, to send spam, or to harm other people or the service.
5. Online payments
Card payments are provided by Stripe and PayPal, not by us. To take card payments you accept Stripe's terms for connected accounts. We are not a bank or a payment institution and we never hold your guests' money. Disputes, chargebacks and the costs of them are between you and the payment company. When you reject an order, or an order is not answered in time, the service refunds the guest automatically.
6. Personal data
For your guests' data you are the controller and we are your processor. We will: use it only to provide the service and on your instructions (these terms and your settings); keep it secure; make sure the people and companies who help us run the service are bound to the same duties; help you answer guests' requests (for example with the tools in the service); tell you without undue delay if we learn of a breach affecting it; and delete or return it when you close your account, unless the law requires us to keep it. You agree that the service providers named in our privacy notice may be used.
7. Availability and support
We take reasonable care to keep the service running and to fix faults quickly, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Plan an alternative way to take orders if the internet, a tablet or the service is down.
8. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss of business, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
9. Suspending or ending the service
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the law, or that puts guests or the service at risk, and will tell you why where we can. You may close your account at any time.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. For changes that matter to you we will give at least 30 days' notice, and you may cancel before they apply.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, except that you keep any rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere under mandatory law.
